with a 7/8" wrench (Figure 22). Allow th e

firmly with your hand, unscrew the oil filter
counterclockwise from the engine (Figure 24). BE

8. Reattach the spark plug wires.
9. Start the engine and check for oil leaks around the
filter base. Correct any oil leaks by simply tightening
the oil filter 1/8 of a turn at a time.
NOTE: Be sure to use environmentally safe disposal procedures in the disposing of the used oil and used oil
filter.

SHUT DOWN THE ENGINE, WAIT FOR ALL MOVING PARTS TO COME TO A COMPLETE STOP, REMOVE
SPARK PLUG WIRES, DISCONNECT THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE, THEN WAIT 5 MINUTES BEFORE
PERFORMING ANY MAINTENANCE PROCEDURE OR INSPECTION ON THE CHIPPER.
